Welcome to The Shishya Jigyasa Academy

The Shishya Jigyasa Academy is a progressive, international school in North Bangalore.

Rooted in a philosophy which encourages exploration, experimentation and discovery, the school offers a wide variety of learning experiences to students. Students at the Shishya Jigyasa Academy believe in their ability to learn independently. With the speed of change and transformation that exists in the world today, people who chase their curiosity and are able to spontaneously chart their own learning will be the leaders of tomorrow. The school environment is planned in a manner which helps educators instil these skills in early learners.

Parents, educators and industry leaders agree that society is moving from an age where ‘what you know’ is losing importance. How quickly and effectively one can go from not knowing to knowing, utilising all the tools and resources available, is how individuals best differentiate themselves from the mediocre. This is how The Shishya Jigyasa Academy differentiates itself in the education community.

A key ingredient in effective learning is autonomy. When children feel a sense of autonomy, they are naturally drawn towards doing activities which they are naturally suited to. At the Shishya Jigyasa Academy, we strive to keep a balance between self initiated and teacher- lead learning in the daily plans so that children feel a sense of autonomy on an everyday basis.

The school offers the Cambridge International Curriculum. Additionally, it employs a mixed curriculum in the pre-primary and primary classes richly supported by Montessori and Reggio Emelia principles. The school will offer the IGCSE exams at Grade 10, and the international AS and A Level exams in Grades 11 and 12 .
